Non-stop bites all day long! Soundarya and I headed out this winter afternoon around 2:30 for some backcountry fishing down by Florida City. Clear conditions throughout the day made for perfect visibility as we cruised the flats looking for action. The calm weather kept us comfortable while we worked our way through gator country, and MTSix was ready to put us on some fish.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on backcountry techniques that make Florida City such a productive spot. The clear skies helped us sight fish effectively through the shallow water, and the backcountry areas around here always hold good opportunities when conditions line up right. We didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it. Y'all know how it is - some days the fish cooperate and some days you just enjoy being out there in the mangrove maze.
