This isn't some rushed cattle-boat operation. With just one spot available, you're looking at an intimate dive experience where the divemaster actually knows your name by the end of the day. The shared format means you'll be diving alongside other passionate underwater explorers who share your love for the deep blue. Most trips head out early morning when visibility is at its peak and the marine life is most active. You'll typically get two tank dives with a surface interval that gives you time to swap stories with your dive buddies and grab some snacks. The boat crews know these waters like the back of their hand, so expect to hit spots that consistently deliver on marine encounters. Weather permitting, you'll spend about 4-6 hours total on the water, with actual bottom time depending on your air consumption and the dive profiles for the day.

Dive Brief & Gear Info

Your gear setup depends on what you're bringing versus what you need to rent, but most divers on these shared trips come prepared with their own mask, fins, and snorkel at minimum. The dive briefing happens on deck before the first descent, covering entry and exit procedures, underwater communication signals, and the planned dive profile. You'll want to bring your certification cards - no exceptions on that one. The divemaster will walk through hand signals, especially if there are newer Advanced Open Water divers in the group who might not be familiar with local variations. Tank fills are typically 3000 PSI, and you'll be diving nitrox if you're certified for it (highly recommended for these multi-dive days). Don't forget your surface marker buoy if you have one - currents can pick up during the day, and it's always good practice.
